They’re the Bees knees!
For hundreds of years, beekeepers used skep baskets for their bees’ hives. Skeps are specially designed baskets, which have an open base. They are made of tightly coiled grass or hay. Potters copied the skeps and made small containers to hold honey for the household. These cute and charming antique or vintage honey pots are quite collectible and make a “wow” conversation piece on your kitchen counter or table. We purchased these in England on our last trip.
