Silver and Gold-Making New Friends and Keeping the Old

We made a quick dash up to St. Louis this past weekend and picked up some “new” treasures just in time for the Springfield Symphony Guild’s 2010 Fall Antique Show and Sale this week. We enjoy shopping for antiques throughout the St. Louis area and are always delighted with what we find. St. Louis is the second largest city in Missouri and has been around since the mid 1700’s, so the picking is good in St. Louis! In fact, our latest trip uncovered a treasure of “silver and gold”. Theresa says it’s just like the old Girl Scout song, “Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold”.

In addition to the newly acquired items, we’re bringing some of items from England that haven’t been shown anywhere yet. Since we are still in the progress of remodeling, we haven’t unpacked everything from our first or second England trips. Fingers crossed, we’re anxiously hoping the remodeling project will be completed soon.

The gallery has been busy as shoppers prepare for the upcoming holidays, picking up the perfect items for their walls or décor. However, we will be closed on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 28-30 because of the show and sale. Set up is on Thursday and the show is open to the public on Friday and Saturday, October 29-30 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The entry fee to the show for both days is $5.00.

Make sure and mention the blog and we’ll give you a $5.00 credit on any purchase over $25.00 from our booth.
